West Shore RCMP are investigating a pair of pellet gun attacks on women.
Two women were shot with a pellet gun in separate incidents on Tuesday morning, police said, one in Colwood and the other in Langford.
The Langford attack occurred around 10:15 a.m. A woman reported standing at the corner of Jacklin Road and Jenkins Avenue when she was shot in the face. Police said she brought herself to hospital to have the pellet removed.
The Colwood attack happened around 10 minutes later and was reported by a woman who was walking near the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Latoria Road. Police said this woman was not physically harmed, and was able to describe a suspect vehicle as a grey sedan.
Police immediately started searching for the vehicle, but it has yet to be located.
“Those were two separate incidents,” said spokesperson Const. Alex Berube. “We are asking anyone who may have video surveillance that may have captured anything in those areas, or any information that could help our investigators with the identity of the suspect(s), to contact the West Shore RCMP.”
The West Shore RCMP can be reached at 250-474-2264 and anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
