Victoria officer injured during Trudeau visit

An officer injured in an incident during the Prime Minister’s visit yesterday (April 5) is back on the job.

VicPD say a man was arrested during the visit for an assault that involved the security detail of Prime Minister.

The man was released on a Promise to Appear and the investigation is in the early stages. During the course of that arrest, a VicPD officer was injured and suffered non-life threatening injuries. That officer has since returned to work.
