Two drivers were taken to hospital after a car crash at the intersection of the Trans-Canada Highway and Fisher Road in Cobble Hill on Monday morning.

Around 10:30 a.m., a red Dodge Journey was making a left turn onto Fisher Road from the northbound lane of the highway when it was struck by a southbound Volkswagen Beetle. Shawnigan Lake RCMP, volunteer firefighters and the BC Ambulance Service all attended. Northbound lanes were shut down to traffic for a short time.

The drivers were the lone occupants of both vehicles, and they were both taken to hospital.
