A McDonalds clerk is OK after literally being put on ice during a failed weekend robbery.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. Sunday morning, two men wearing masks attempted to rob the fast-food outlet’s franchise in Sooke.
According to an RCMP media release, the men forced a McDonalds employee into a walk-in cooler and tried to break into a safe, but were unsuccessful. They then fled the premises on foot.
Police say no weapons were involved and the employee was not injured.
The investigation is still in the early stages, and no further information has been released.
