PQB crime report: Gucci backpack, pair of iPhones stolen in Parksville robbery

Oceanside RCMP also deal with stolen vehicles, prowler

Oceanside RCMP received 260 complaints the week of Aug. 21 to Aug 27.

Some of the incidents included:

Aug. 21

• A vehicle was reported sprayed with graffiti in the 200 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.

• Tail lights were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Middlegate Road, Errington.

Aug. 23

• A flat-deck trailer with B.C. licence plate 90582U was reported stolen on Rainbow Way, Parksville.

Aug. 24

• Two body amour panels were found near Foxtail and Lodgepole Drive, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

• A red 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 was reported stolen in the 1100 block of Fair Road, Parksville.

• A red-and-blue Gucci backpack and contents were reported stolen in the 100 block of Craig Street, Parksville. Contents missing were a white mini x speaker, blue Apple iPhone 12 and a white/rose Apple iPhone 8+.

• A black shoulder bag with personal belongings was found in the 100 block of Island Highway West, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

• A vehicle windshield was reported damaged by a thrown rock near Melrose Road, Qualicum Beach.

Aug. 25

• A brown 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with B.C. licence plates RJ9788 was reported stolen in the 1200 block of Leffler Road, Errington.

Aug. 26

• Two vehicle batteries were reported stolen in the 1400 block of Springhill Road, Parksville.

• A silver 2000 Honda 8 HP outboard motor was reported stolen in the 400 block of Dogwood Road, Qualicum Beach.

• A nighttime prowler was reported 500 block of Wembley Road, Parksville.
