Oceanside RCMP received 270 complaints the week of June 11 to June 17. Some of the incidents included:
June 11
A business was reported vandalized with picnic tables overturned and a window broken in the 3600 block of Alberni Highway, Qualicum beach.
June 13
A children’s playhouse and a table were reported stolen from a daycare in the 200 block of Bagshaw Street, Parksville.
A vehicle was reported vandalized with two tires slashed in the 400 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach.
A 9.9-HP Yamaha model T9.9XPB boat motor was reported stolen in the 2400 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs.
June 14
A grey 2019 Cannondale Catalyst 3 bicycle was reported stolen in the 200 block of Village Way, Qualicum Beach.
June 16
A prowler was reported in the 5000 block of Gainsberg Road, Bowser.
A trailer break-and-enter was reported as well as the theft of a black Biktrix Juggernaut Classic E-bike in the 5300 block of Deep Bay Road, Bowser.
A Molson Canadian backpack was found in the 3100 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular office hours to claim quoting file number 2023-5982.
A resident was reported defrauded $2,980 responding to a text message allegedly from a relative.

June 17
A business compound break-and-enter was reported with various items valued at more than $450 noted missing in the 500 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville.
A business reported being vandalized with a window broken in the 100 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.
A bicycle was reported stolen, and recovered a short time later by police, in the 300 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville.
