The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance to find a wedding ring that may have been taken from a senior’s home.

The ring, along with some cash, was last seen near the end of February and reported missing to the police on Tuesday, April 4.

The ring’s owner, a woman in her 90s, told her son-in-law that, to her knowledge, the only people who have been in her home were her care workers.

Her son-in-law and his wife searched the entire home for the ring and cash, but were unable to locate them.

The organization that employs the workers denies any involvement in the incident.

Anyone who has knowledge of the whereabouts of the ring is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file No. 2023-11052.
