Police are on the lookout for a suspect who slashed two pharmacy employees with a shard of glass during a January robbery in Duncan.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP officers responded to a call on Jan. 8 at 12:24 p.m. about a theft and assault at a pharmacy in the 300 block of the Trans-Canada Highway in Duncan. They were told that as two staff members spoke with a suspected shoplifter in the store, the suspect used a piece of glass to cut both employees.
The female suspect fled the area while police were on their way, and the staff members were treated for minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a First Nations woman in her 20s, about 5-foot-7 and 200 pounds, with long, curly black hair. She was wearing a black fuzzy jacket and flower headband at the time of the incident.
