Patients and visitors will be re-routed for two months to allow for renovation and pavement resurfacing at the entrance of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

According to an Island Health press release, the main entrance will be relocated to the nearby perinatal entrance from May 30 to July 22 to allow for “repairs to the roofing membrane and concrete surfaces directly outside the main entrance doors.”

Signs will be set up to direct people to the temporary entrance and Island Health’s ambassador station, offering patients assistance, will also be moved to the perinatal entrance on an interim basis, the press release said.
