No injuries were reported after a home was destroyed by fire in Coombs on July 9.
The blaze on Station Road took approximately six to seven hours to completely extinguish, according to Fire Chief Ron Schildroth of the Coombs-Hilliers Volunteer Fire Department.
They received assistance from the Bow Horn Bay, Dashwood, Errington, Lantzville, Nanoose Bay, Parksville and Qualicum Beach fire departments.

The fire’s cause is under investigation, according to Schildroth.
