Nanaimo RCMP seek man wanted on immigration warrant

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on a Canada-wide immigration warrant for overstaying his status in Canada.

According to a press release, investigators confirm Romey O’Neill, 26, was in Nanaimo Nov. 13 when he rented a 2020 blue Kia Forte sedan, licence plate JW6 90D from a local car rental agency. The vehicle was never returned and reported stolen, the press release said.

O’Neill stands 6-feet-2, weighs 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes and is associated to residences in Bowser and on Quadra and Cortes islands.

Anyone with information on O’Neill’s whereabouts is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, citing file No. 2020-43134.
