Nanaimo RCMP looking for video of fatal shooting scene

Nanaimo RCMP investigators seek any video that might have been taken around the location where a man was gunned down on the weekend.

The shooting happened Jan. 13 in the parking lot of the condominium development located at the corner of Wakesiah Avenue and Jingle Pot Road.

To assist with the investigation, anyone with audio or video recordings, specifically any cellphone or dash-cam footage taken in the area of the shooting during the period of Friday evening until noon on Saturday, is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP.

“This one piece of evidence could be extremely useful to investigators who are attempting to advance this priority investigation,”said Const. Gary O’Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesman, in a press release.
