Gas prices remain high at Greater Victoria gas stations on the last day of the year.
According to Gas Buddy, one of the highest price points is at a Saanich Petro-Canada on Cedar Hill Cross Road, standing at 162.9 cents per litre for regular fuel on Dec. 31.
Langford’s Costco offers the most affordable price standing at 146.9 cents per litre.

Current prices are high compared to last year when the provincial average was 119.83 cents per litre in 2020 – this year the average stands at 149.79 cents per litre.
Gas Buddy statistics show that residents in Greater Victoria are paying disproportionately high gas prices compared with the rest of Canada.
Drivers in Toronto are paying as little as $129.4 cents per litre while in Edmonton, gas is as low as 115.9 cents per litre on New Year’s Eve.
