Officials from CFB Comox have confirmed the death of a 25-year-old man Monday afternoon on Department of National Defence property but added the death is not suspicious.
Representatives from 19 Wing Public Affairs said Tuesday the man - who was a family member of a military member - was found without vital signs near the Canex retail outlet at 1625 Military Row. Foul play is not suspected.
The base emergency services and military police responded but were unable to revive the man.
The BC Coroner Service also attended.
Officials added they have offered their support and condolences to the family.
