The goal of a GoFundMe page for Sebastian Woodroffe is $10,000 to assist his son and family.

A GoFundMe page has been created for the family of Sebastian Woodroffe, the Comox Valley man who travelled to the Amazon rainforest and was killed last weekend in Peru.

Family friend Nat Raedwulf created the page with the goal to have funds raised provide the family with immediate financial assistance, along with providing long-term financial support in the care and costs associated with raising Woodroffe’s nine-year-old son, and if the family desires, a trust fund him.

“Anyone who knew Sebastian or had the honour of crossing paths with him can speak to his gentle spirit, his playful nature, his generosity to fellow beings he crossed paths with and his deep loving commitment to family and above all, his son,” notes the page.

“Taking care of others and facilitating healing was a calling Sebastian carried with him through life. There are many people who can share a story with you about Sebastian cooking them a meal, offering them a place to stay or checking up on them when they needed a friend.”

The page states at the end of the GoFundMe campaign, all funds will be given to the mother of Woodroffe’s son to allocate as she sees fit.

The goal of the campaign is $10,000.
