Emergency crews are responding to a vehicle fire on Highway 4 near Cathedral Grove.
The incident was reported at around 2 p.m. Port Alberni Fire Department and B.C. Wildfire Services crews are on route, and helicopters are dropping buckets of water to ensure the flames don’t spread.
According to a post from the Dashwood Volunteer Fire Department on Facebook, the fire has been knocked down and forestry crews and helicopters are mopping up hot spots.

Expect delays in the area, as traffic is reportedly stopped in both directions.
