A man who was wanted by police in early November in connection with several offences including sexual assault, forcible confinement and assault is now in jail in Victoria.
Troy Hardy is charged with six offences - sexual assault, assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, forcible confinement without lawful authority, criminal harassment and breach of undertaking or recognizance - in connection with an incident on Oct. 27 in Courtenay.
Earlier this month, Bianca Pearce told The Record she was forcible confined and subjected to physical and sexual abuse.
Hardy’s next scheduled court appearance is Thursday, Nov.8 at the Courtenay law courts at 9:30 a.m. for a judicial interim release (bail).
