On June 4, the Town of Comox announced that Mayor Russ Arnott would be taking a medical leave of absence. Council appointed Ken Grant as acting mayor during his absence.
With much support and well wishes from the community since the announcement was made, Arnott has navigated through his health challenges and is ready to return to work.
“I am happy to announce my full-time return to duties as mayor of Comox. The last two months have been an incredible journey through our medical system and the amazing professionals working in it,” Arnott said.
“I want to thank acting mayor Ken Grant and council for their support through this process. I’m glad to be back and look forward to working with the community once again.”
