It was a wet, slippery track that greeted the hundreds of visitors to the Island Motorsport Circuit’s open house on Sunday, Dec. 17 but no one was daunted.
The line-up snaked through the lobby and almost outside as eager folks flocked to sign up for a chance to drive a car on a guided tour of the track.
Another line-up showed that enthusiasts of all ages were eager to try go-karting around a slippery, parking lot course as well.
Inside, there was plenty of room to relax, enjoy refreshments, and music, and try the clubhouse lifestyle, learning over the track from the outdoor, covered viewing area. Donations could also be made to the Salvation Army, with the Circuit matching the total.
