Suspect sought in B&E at Duncan bank

A masked individual wearing a Bugs Bunny hooded sweatshirt is the prime suspect in a break-and-enter of the TD Canada Trust in Duncan, according to surveillance footage.

Island District RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Alex Bérubé said North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are seeking public assistance in identifying the person who broke into the financial institution around 9:30 a.m. the morning of Sept. 4.

“The suspect…allegedly stole some banking equipment,” said the press release issued by Bérubé. “No one was present inside the bank at the time of the incident.”
