The RCMP is asking for the public’s help to find a man suspected of making off with a printer from a north Nanaimo store.

The printer, valued at approximately $330 according to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, was taken from Walmart in Woodgrove Centre around 4 p.m. on Jan. 2.

Investigators were told by a store employee that the suspect was seen taking the printer to self-checkout, where he had an associate cut off the security tag before he walked out without any attempt to pay for it.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-11 with a medium build, sporting a moustache. He was wearing dark clothing, a ball cap and a white t-shirt. Anyone with information about the identity of this person is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and refer to file No. 2025-220.
