Mosaic Forest Management launched its annual photo contest on July 1.

Photographers of all levels are invited to submit their favourite images of B.C.’s wild West Coast for a chance to win one of three 14-day camping passes valid at any Mosaic campsite. Two of the winners will be chosen by a panel of Mosaic staff, and the third winner will be selected this year through a new category of the People’s Choice Award.

“The photo contest is an exciting chance for photographers to share their unique perspectives on the forests, people, places and wildlife that make Mosaic forest lands, and indeed all of the West Coast, so special,” said Domenico Iannidinardo, Mosaic Forest Management’s vice president of Forest & Logistics and chief forester. “We look forward to seeing coastal B.C.’s wild places through the lenses of our visitors.”

Mosaic forest lands and campgrounds inspire visitors to capture breathtaking photos every day. Mosaic’s newest opportunity for even more spectacular photos is at its Macktush campground, located south of Port Alberni, where everyone can enjoy coastal forest walking trails and access to world class sockeye fishing on the Alberni Inlet. This brings the number of Mosaic not-for-profit campsites to 12.

Thousands explore B.C.’s wilderness destinations each year, with more than 10,000 people enjoying Mosaic campgrounds on Vancouver Island in 2019. Last year’s photo contest received hundreds of entries. The images captured the essence of camping on the West Coast, with the winning shots including a sunset paddle on the Nanaimo River Estuary, and a glassy reflection of the sky at First Lake.

To enter, visit www.mosaicforests.com/contest to upload a photo, or share on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #MosaicCampsiteContest. The contest remains open until midnight on Sept. 10, 2020. See the full contest details at mosaicforests.com/contest.
