Canadian rock icon and eight-time Juno Award winner Tom Cochrane and Red Rider are helping the newly renovated Elements Casino Victoria (formerly View Royal Casino) enter its new era with a bang this month.
Celebrating the grand opening of the expanded casino, Cochrane and company are set to perform a sold-out show on May 5.
They’ll be the first artists on the new stage in the Platinum Room, a 500-seat entertainment space equipped to host a variety of acts.
Cochrane, together with his old bandmates, continues to tour for Mad Mad World 25, the deluxe edition 2017 re-release of his best-selling solo album that featured such hits as Life is a Highway, No Regrets, Sinking Like a Sunset and the title track.
Raj Mutti, Great Canadian Gaming Corp.’s vice-president of operations West, said with the new theatre facility and the expanded dining and gaming options available, Elements Victoria will join the ranks of the company’s River Rock Casino Resort, Hard Rock Casino Vancouver and Elements Casino Surrey in terms of entertainment offerings.
