The Philosopher Kings make their return to Island stage

Showtime in Victoria is 7 p.m. May 7 at Distrikt Nightclub, with guests

If you haven’t got your tickets to see The Philosopher Kings on Tuesday night (May 7) at Distrikt Nightclub, there’s still some available.

The Thornhill, Ont. band, who achieved their biggest success in the late 1990s, separated to work on solo projects in 2006, then reunited in 2017 to produce some new material, are back with the Return of the Kings tour, named for their 2018 album. Showtime is 7 p.m., with guests opening up for them.

The lineup is comprised of long-time members Gerald Eaton (vocals), drummer Denton Whited, keyboardist Jon Levine and guitarists James Bryan and Brian West, who are featured in the video for the single, “Still the One,” which was released before the album, in summer 2017.

Tickets are $27.50, available online at eventbrite.com, at the front desk of the Strathcona Hotel and at the door if available.
