The Sooke Fine Arts Show (SFAS) will dazzle visitors with a new addition this year.
The Chandelier Lighting Project aims to enhance the viewing experience of the art exhibited at SEAPARC Leisure Centre through a $4,000 donation from the Sooke Rotary Club.
In previous years, SFAS designers needed help lighting the art displayed in the areas between the pods.
SFAS conceived the chandelier lighting project to overcome this challenge.
Although the name suggests opulence, these functional chandeliers are designed to blend into the background and accentuate the showcased artwork.
It’s all part of the amazing transformation of the SEAPARC Leisure Complex into an arts festival. From July 29 to Aug. 7, visitors can explore the diverse collection of original artworks and witness the power of creativity.
The Sooke Fine Arts Society expresses gratitude to the Rotary Club of Sooke for its generous funding and the dedicated volunteers who contribute their time to the show annually.
The society thanks Steve Barrie of S.B. Scenic Arts Ltd. for significantly contributing to the project. Additionally, Pat, Murray Tomkins, and Terry Cristall receive special recognition for their dedicated work on the chandeliers’ design and construction.
