Halifax-born, Toronto-based songwriter Ria Mae touches down in Victoria on Nov. 15, in promotion of her new EP Stars, including her new single, “Too Close” featuring Dan Talevski.

Stars is a follow-up to Mae’s Juno Award-nominated 2017 EP My Love, from which emerged the platinum-certified single “Bend.” The song became an instant hit and sat atop the CBC Radio 2 charts for four weeks and soon reached the mainstream, zooming to high spots on the charts in the Adult Contemporary (AC) and Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) formats.

My Love, which also includes the single “Red Light,” garnered over 12 million combined worldwide streams and saw Mae collaborate with such notable artists as Serena Ryder, Tegan Quin (Tegan & Sara), Joel Stouffer and Dylan Guthro (Port Cities).

Boosted by the success of hits “Clothes Off” and “Ooh Love,” the critically acclaimed album garnered multiple award nominations including ‘Single of the Year’ at the 2016 JUNO Awards and ‘Best New Canadian Artist’ at the iHeart Radio MMVAs.

Having toured Europe with Tegan & Sara, North America with Dido and Canada with Scott Helman, Mae headlines this new concert tour brimming with confidence, experience and new music.

Tickets for The Stars Tour show on Nov. 15 at the McPherson Playhouse start at $34.25 and are available online at rmts.bc.ca, by phone at 250-386-6121 or at the Royal or McPherson box offices.
