Nanaimo Theatre Group will explore parenthood with a witty comedy that follows three dads who are out of a job.
The group describes Dads: The Musical as a witty, clever and relevant play that shows the nature of a changing society.
“While theatre wrought with emotion, history and morals is usually what I am drawn to, I had an urge to present a different type of play, one that makes us laugh, sing, and feel joy – all while sharing the trials and tribulations of one of life’s greatest challenges, parenthood,” said the show’s director Sherri McLean on the theatre group’s website.
With loveable characters, hilarious scenes, puppet babies and high energy music numbers, the group said it is a play not to be missed.
Dads: The Musical opens Sunday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Bailey Studio and there will be performances until March 8. Tickets can be purchased from the Nanaimo Theatre Group’s website.
