Love him or loathe him, nobody could ever accuse Jim Jeffries of pulling punches or dancing around an issue.

The Australian-born, United States-based standup comic, who plays Victoria’s Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Nov. 16, has carved a niche for himself as the impish badboy of the stand-up world. Along the way he has developed the unique ability to both shock and delight people of all political and personal persuasions.

As the host of Comedy Central’s The Jim Jeffries Show and with three Netflix stand-up specials to his name, Jeffries has emerged as one of the most popular comedians working today. While older material may lean more towards frat house humour, Jeffries’ career took a boost when his routine on gun control went viral and propelled his career to where he is today.

In his latest special, 2018’s This is Me Now, Jeffries delivers a set from London, England that touches on everything from the challenges of being a single dad to the time someone tried to unsuccessfully extort him for money by threatening to release a sex tape. The Jim Jeffries Show is also now in its third season.

Now Jeffries is back on the road with The Night Talker Tour and returns to Victoria for a Saturday, Nov. 16 show. Tickets range from $39.50 to $59.50 – a VIP meet-and-great package is also available – and are available online at selectyourtickets.com or by phone at 250-220-7777.
