The Comox Valley’s new hospital provides a number of opportunities for individuals, groups and families to leave a lasting legacy, by naming a room in the state-of-the-art facility.

By supporting the Maternity Assessment Room on the second floor of the North Island Hospital Comox Valley Campus, RBC Foundation has become an important partner in this historic facility. RBC’s donation will help the young families, as well as the babies of our community just starting their lives.

RBC will be recognized with a wall plaque that appears on the wall in the department and will also be included on the Foundation’s Donor Wall located in the Level 1 lobby.

Naming opportunities are based on giving levels, starting at $10,000 for a 10-year term. For individuals, groups or families that wish to make a transformational gift and have a room named in their honour or after someone special in their life is a meaningful gesture.

“Recognizing our valued donors with naming opportunities emphasizes the vital connection between our community and our hospital,” said Lynn Dashkewytch, executive director of Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. “We are always grateful for our donors, and are honoured to recognize them in a way that is meaningful to them.”

RBC has been providing support to the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation (formerly St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation) since 1992. RBC has been a long-time supporter of the community golf event and helped raise over $425,000 for local healthcare. RBC Foundation also has awarded grants annually to support many areas of healthcare.

“A community hospital, like Comox Valley Hospital, plays as important part in the health and well-being of families, our clients, our colleagues and our community,” said Tyler Robinson, branch manager, RBC Comox Valley. “At RBC, we want to make certain the hospital is well equipped to continue helping our community for years to come.”
