Navy bike ride pedals through Colwood streets Saturday

Free, family-friendly event includes a barbecue

Join the Royal Canadian Navy for a fun bike ride through Belmont Park and Colwood.

The free event takes place Saturday (June 3) at 10:30 a.m., starting at Ecole John Stubbs Memorial School’s field before travelling through Belmont Park and other areas of Colwood.

On offer is a 4 km beginner bike ride that will travel through Belmont Park and a 28 km youth/intermediate signature ride that will venture further through Colwood, including the Esquimalt Lagoon.

After the ride, enjoy a barbecue by donation, hosted by the Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre, and check out their interactive displays and more.

Register for the CFB Esquimalt 2023 Navy Bike Ride online at bit.ly/esqnbrdvm. Donations are being collected to benefit three organizations dedicated to the well-being of the Royal Canadian Navy members, former sailors, and their families. Proceeds from this event go to the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent fund, Support Our Troops and Soldier On.

All ages, skills and abilities are welcome. E-bikes are also welcome.
