In the world of magic, a young illusionist named Vitaly has taken it upon himself to rekindle the flames of wonder and amazement in even the most skeptical of audiences.
Vitaly achieved the remarkable feat of baffling the renowned Las Vegas duo Penn & Teller, not once but twice on their popular TV show, Fool Us. In a testament to his magical prowess, Vitaly’s show was recently handpicked for an off-Broadway production by Daryl Roth, a producer with an illustrious track record, including Tony-winning hits like Kinky Boots and Indecent.
This limited engagement spanned 16 weeks at the esteemed Westside Theatre, a historic venue that once served as the launching pad for Penn & Teller’s own careers back in the 1980s.
What sets Vitaly apart is his unyielding commitment to originality. Each illusion he crafts represents an “impossible dream” he seeks to transform into reality. His repertoire spans from breathing life into drawings and paintings to the uncanny teleportation of playing cards from one audience member to another. In the realm of Vitaly’s performance, logic takes a backseat as belief is suspended in mid-air.
Vitaly will be performing his show Vitaly: An Evening of Wonders in a one-night presentation on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at The Farquhar at UVic, Jamie Cassels Centre. Tickets will be from $25 to $45, depending on the age.
Student Rush available two weeks prior for $10. To buy your spot in this night full of wonder, make sure to get your tickets on the website https://tickets.uvic.ca/TheatreManager/1/tmEvent/tmEvent3218.html.
