Randi Page, a senior marketing consultant with Victoria News, is among those named Sales Supernovas by the national trade publication Editor and Publisher Magazine.

The Sales Supernovas list recognizes 15 people from across North America who stand out in their ability to hold up in challenging times, stay focused and get the job done for their clients.

Page came to Black Press Media with a background in medical tech and government. She started her first sales position with the Sooke News Mirror in 2017 under the leadership of publisher Rod Slugget.

“Rod gave me my start in media, helped to provide me with the confidence and strength needed to do cold calls and showed me how to build solid relationships with my clients,” Page said.

After six months she was promoted to a full-time position with the largest Black Press Media publication in the region, Victoria News. There, Page said, group publisher Michelle Cabana continued building on the foundation while helping her grow, fostering her passion and understanding of community news.

“I am proud to work for a company and in an industry that understands the importance of community support and giving back. When you are selling newspaper advertising you are not just selling the ad space, you support community and journalism and to do that successfully, you must believe in it,” Page said.
