Local food, beverages and accommodations are in the spotlight again this winter, as Dine Around, Stay in Town celebrates over two weeks of special menu items, locally brewed beers and B.C. wines and discounted hotel rooms.
If you’ve never partaken in this annual showcase, which targets both local residents and visitors to Greater Victoria, area restaurants offer multi-course meals at specific price points, from $20 up to $50. If you’re a fan of dining out, this promotion gives you a chance to test the culinary waters around the city and maybe even find some new favourites!
If you’re thinking of treating yourselves to a staycation, a selection of area hotels are offering discounted room rates, a great option if you’re combining beer, wine or cocktails options with lunch or dinner.
The annual event gets underway Thursday, Jan. 24 with a gala kickoff at the Victoria Conference Centre. The event, on from 5-7:30 p.m., will tease your taste buds, with samples up for grabs from more than 60 local restaurants, as well as local craft brewers and VQA wineries.
