Marie Jeanne Eveline Girard was born on August 14, 1946, and passed away at Ty Watson House on March 21, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband Denis Girard, her parents Marcel and Therese Beaulac, her brother Gilles Beaulac, and two infant siblings.
Survived by her four children: Leon (Tekla), Roger (Terri), Marc, and Celeste.
Grandchildren: Kayla, Deserai, Cody, Devon, Michael, Wyatt, Aleck, Jordan, Conner, Blake, Mitchell, and Marin.
Great-grandchildren: Madden, Teile, Blake, Jayce, Luca, Cove, Mason, Payten, Evan, Navaria, Ella, and Jonah.
Sisters: Nicole Beaulac, Pierrette (Bill) Gardner, Carmen (Dennis) Rasmussen, Cecile (Roy) Clyne. Brother Luc (Vicki) Beaulac. Special family friend, Marshall Mah.
Jeanne was born in Prince Albert Saskatchewan and lived on the family farm in Eldred until she was 10 years old. Her family moved to Port Alberni in 1956. Jeanne met Denis in 1964 and they married in 1965 and raised their four children in the Alberni Valley. Jeanne and Denis started a Janitorial Business in the early 1970s and always worked hard to provide for their family.
Jeanne was an amazing bowler for over 40 years and an Island champion into her 70s, holding an average of 220 until she stopped playing in 2021. She was a generous and caring teammate and had made many friends there.
Jeanne was a wonderful and well-loved wife, mother, sister and friend and took great pleasure in being around her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren, being with her family was her favourite thing.
Service to be held April 6, 11 am at Holy Family Notre Dame Church, Port Alberni.
