June 21, 1938 - November 13, 2023
In loving memory ~
(Margaret) Ann Graham (nee Hepburn), 85, of Qualicum Beach B.C. passed away on November 13, 2023, in Abbotsford, BC. after a brief but courageous battle against cancer. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, aunt and friend, and we will all miss her so much.
Ann was born on June 21, 1938, in Cochrane, Ontario. She was known for her kindness, infectious smile, and sense of humor. She had a love of life and an independent spirit that inspired others, even when ill. She cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, and found joy in spending time with them.
Ann graduated from Ottawa Civic School of Nursing in 1959 and later trained in B.C. as a public health nurse. In 1974, she relocated to Belleville and embarked on a fulfilling career with the Red Cross. Ann dedicated herself to helping others until her retirement in 1995. Even after retiring, she continued to give back to her community by volunteering for the BC Cancer Society, the Oceanside Emergency Support Services, and the Bowsers Seniors Housing Society.
In her free time, Ann enjoyed travelling with family and friends, her book (wine) club, theatre, figure skating and playing mahjong. She also actively raised funds for the BC Cancer Society and Bowsers Seniors Housing Society.
Ann is survived by her children, Jim Ferrie (Jennifer), Kathy Doull (Mat), and stepdaughter Joanne Stevens (Craig), as well as her grandchildren; Araya, Rylie, Avarie, Patrick, James, Michael and Eric. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Graham and her brothers, Edward (Ted) Hepburn and Donald Hepburn, as well as her parents, James and Mildred Hepburn.
