November 24, 1936 - November 25, 2023
In loving memory ~

Harold, a long time resident of Campbell River, died peacefully in his home on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in the loving arms of his wife. Harold was born November 24, 1936 on his family farm near Leross Saskatchewan where he resided for 15 years before he stretched his legs and started traveling for school and work with multiple trips across the prairies to Campbell River. In 1955 Harold settled for good in Campbell River and after dabbling in construction at the Mill and commercial fishing he settled into proudly working as an operating engineer. He was a devoted husband to Cecilia, father to Doreen (Mac), Rodney, grandfather to Mackenzie (Sarah), William (Jamie), Margaret (John), Jaycyne, Shania and great grandfather to John and Oscar. He will long be remembered for his strong family centered values, always ready to help, entertain or care giver for those who were around him. In his later years he became the patriarch of the family supporting his sisters in-laws and many nieces and nephews who he was proud to be known as Uncle Ho Ho. His brothers Alan, Earl Cecil and sister Marion predeceased him. As was his wishes, Harold's family invite you to gather Tuesday Jan 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm for a service at the Campbell River United Church followed by refreshments and an opportunity to share stories and memories. In lieu of flowers donations to heart and stroke foundation can be made.
