It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Dalraj "Dale" Singh Mayo. Dale was a devoted son, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his mother, Joan, siblings Darcy & Debbie, Sherri & Rick, Davinder & Shelley, Robin & Tessy, nephews and nieces, Dustin, Kourtlynn, Josh, Nikky, Tristan, Lucy, Davis, Christianne, Trina, Ryan, Sachaa, Zack, Madison, Reagan, Elizabeth, Jackson, Nicole, Declan, Brittany and Alex, his cousins and best friends Deep, Raji, Mark, and Janik, and countless family members and friends.

He joins his niece Kristal and his father, Rajindi, who he missed every day.

Dale was raised in Paldi and attended school in Lake Cowichan. Stories of his antics at LCSS were still being shared when his nieces and nephews attended there. Dale loved the years he spent working in logging camps and was loved by his coworkers for his sense of humour and his dedication to his first aid training.

He spent his later years working in mills where he continued his strong work ethic and humour and made many friends.

Dale was proud of Paldi's heritage and of his family's history, and visited India several times. He discovered he had a green thumb during his time working at Queen Margarets School and loved working in his garden in recent years.

Dale will be missed for his colourful sense of humour, his kind heart, and the deep love he had for his family. He was a wonderful uncle and was so proud of his nieces and nephews. He loved his mother Joan and cherished his time with her.
