In the only game on the BCHL slate on Monday night (April 22), the Victoria Grizzlies host game three of their second round BCHL series against the Surrey Eagles.

The best-of-seven series shifts to The Q Centre in Colwood with the series tied 1-1.

In game one on Friday night (April 19), the Grizzlies won a thriller as Oliver Genest’s overtime goal clinched the win. It was his first of the playoffs and was assisted by Anderson (Chase) Pirtle.

Charlie Gollob’s second goal of the postseason was the opening goal of the game for the Grizzlies.

Despite not being on the powerplay the entire game, Victoria fired 42 shots on net, while their goaltender, Oliver Auyeung-Ashton made 33 saves in the win.

Game two on Saturday night wasn’t as friendly as the Grizzlies fell 4-1. The team’s only goal came off the stick of Jacksenn Hungle, his second of the postseason. Auyeung-Ashton made 24 saves in the loss.
